1. What is a hall LED screen? Why should you choose an LED screen instead of traditional solutions?
1.1. Concept of LED screen in hall
The LED screen in the hall is a large-sized image and video display system, made up of many small LED modules joined together seamlessly. Unlike projectors or televisions, LED screens operate on the principle of light-emitting diodes (LED - Light Emitting Diode). Each pixel is a combination of three primary colors RGB (Red, Green, Blue), creating millions of vivid colors, displaying clear and brilliant content even in large spaces with strong light.
Thanks to its flexible size customization, outstanding brightness, and long life, LED screens have become an inevitable trend in modern hall design, completely replacing traditional projectors.
High-end LED hall screen brings vivid images, clear to every detail.
1.2. Compare the advantages and disadvantages with projectors, hiflex canvas, TV
If in the past, halls mainly used projectors or hiflex backdrops to display content, today, LED screens are dominating thanks to a series of outstanding improvements:
Outstanding brightness: LED screen displays clearly even in strong light, completely overcoming the "blur" disadvantage of projectors.
High contrast: Deep black, bright color, no glare, bring realistic and comfortable visual experience to viewers.
Flexible sizing: Customizable to any scale — from small screens for 20m² meeting rooms to large 50–100m² screens for conference centers.
Long life (≥ 100,000 hours): LED has outstanding durability, no need to periodically replace the projection bulb like a projector.
High aesthetics: Seamless surface, modern design, helps the hall space become more professional and luxurious.
Energy saving: LED screens consume 30–50% less power than projectors of equivalent power.
LED screens display brighter than projectors under the same lighting conditions.
Pixel Pitch (symbol P) is the distance between two adjacent LED pixels, measured in millimeters (mm). The smaller the P index → the denser the pixel density → the smoother and sharper the image.
With the trend of modern halls requiring high display quality, Luxmage focuses on providing small pixel LED screens (Fine Pitch LED), using advanced COB and SMD technology, providing smooth, realistic and outstandingly durable images.
Below are typical LED hall screen lines supplied and constructed by Luxmage:
P1.25 LED screen – Super sharp display standard
Extremely high resolution, clearly displaying every character, chart, and image.
Suitable for high-class halls, executive meeting rooms, executive centers, government conferences.
Supports Full HD to 4K resolution in small area, true color, no jagged edges.
Technology recommendation: COB – smooth display, dustproof, impact resistant; or high-end SMD for natural color performance.
LED screens display brighter than projectors under the same lighting conditions.
P1.53 / P1.56 LED screen – The most popular “fine pitch” series
Great balance between sharpness – investment cost – operating durability.
Suitable for multi-purpose halls, cultural centers, businesses, universities.
Displays Full HD and 2K content clearly at a viewing distance of 2–4m.
COB/SMD technology: smooth display, no “bright spots”, deep black, high contrast.
P1.86 LED screen – Flexible solution for medium and large halls
The most “economical” LED line in the fine pitch group, ensuring high clarity while still optimizing costs.
Suitable for medium sized halls, stages, large meeting rooms, event centers.
Allows to display smooth, even, bright images in all lighting conditions.
Choose COB or SMD indoor according to budget and usage.
The P1.25 – P1.53 – P1.56 – P1.86 lines are currently the optimal choice for modern halls, meeting all requirements for sharpness, longevity and aesthetics.
Depending on usage needs, space scale and investment budget, Luxmage will advise on the most suitable LED screen configuration, helping customers achieve maximum display efficiency while optimizing initial investment costs. Luxmage not only provides genuine equipment but also ensures construction, alignment, warranty and full technical support, helping customers feel secure throughout the usage process.

2.2. Classification by LED bulb technology (SMD/COB)
SMD (Surface Mounted Device) technology
This is traditional LED technology, widely used in LED hall screens from P1.86 - P3. SMD LED bulbs are mounted directly on the surface of the circuit board (PCB), each bulb consists of 3 RGB color diodes, allowing the mixing of millions of true colors.
Pixel structure: 3 independent RGB chips, mounted on the module surface.
Wide viewing angle: ~140° horizontal and 120° vertical.
Brightness: 800 – 1200 nits (depending on model).
Contrast ratio: 3000:1 – 5000:1.
Average life: ~100,000 hours.
Maintenance: Easy to replace individual LED modules or bulbs when damaged.
Suitable: For medium and large halls, need to optimize costs while still ensuring stable brightness and color.
COB (Chip On Board) technology
It is the most advanced LED technology today, used in high-end LED hall screens such as P1.25, P1.53, P1.56. Instead of mounting floating LED bulbs, COB technology directly mounts the LED chip onto the circuit board with a layer of heat-conductive glue, creating a seamless, smooth, gap-free display surface.
Luxmage specializes in professional installation of LED screens for auditoriums.
Pixel structure: Monolithic LED chip, coated with protective glue against dust and moisture.
Ultra wide viewing angle: up to 160° horizontal / 150° vertical.
Brightness: 600 – 1000 nits (optimized for indoor environments).
Contrast ratio: 5000:1 – 8000:1.
Heat dissipation: Better than SMD ~20–30%, no fan needed.
Average life: 100,000 – 120,000 hours.
Super smooth display, no visible pixels even at a distance of 1-2m.
High durability, impact resistance, dust and moisture resistance.
Deep color, high contrast, suitable for 4K, 8K content.
